Demo: Content object block

The content object block is a full-width paragraph that places rich text on one side and a media item (image or video) on the other — designed for hero sections, feature highlights, and any layout where content and media sit side by side.

Fields

Title — section heading displayed prominently
Top title — small label shown above the main title
Introduction — subtitle or lead sentence
Body — main rich text content area
Media — image or video displayed on the opposite side from the text
Button group — optional nested call-to-action buttons
Block type — two_columns (text + media side by side) or full_background (media fills the entire block with text overlaid)
Content position — place the text left or right (media fills the other side)
Block height — auto or full viewport height
Overlay colour — colour overlay applied over the media
Theme colours — background and text colour overrides

Example 1 — Two columns (text + media)

Block type: two_columns. Text on one side, image on the other. This is the default layout for a feature section or editorial block with a visual.

This is a live content object block using the two_columns type. The image appears beside this text. Use the Content position field to swap the text and media sides — choose from ten position options.

Feature highlight

Example 2 — Full background hero

Block type: full_background. The image fills the entire block. A colour overlay is applied, and text is displayed on top.

Use the Overlay colour field to tint the background image for better text contrast. Block height can be set to viewport_height to create a full-screen hero section. Content colour is set to white here to ensure readable text over the overlay.

Example 3 — Two columns (text + media + background color)

Block type: two_columns. Text on one side, image on the other. This is the default layout for a feature section or editorial block with a visual with a background color added. Because of the background there is a little space around the block.
