The two column block splits the page width into two columns, each containing an independent paragraph. Supported column types: content block, image block, video block, downloads block, and card block.
Fields
Column blocks — 2 nested paragraphs (one per column)
Column width — first column width in grid units 1–12; the second column fills the remainder
Theme colours — background/text overrides applied to the whole block
Example 1 — Left column (50/50)
This is the left column of an equal-width (6/6) two column block. Column width is set to 6 on the wrapper, giving both columns 50% of the page width.
Example 1 — Right column (50/50)
This is the right column. Each column is an independent paragraph that can have its own body text, media, and buttons. The second column always fills the remaining width.
Example 2 — Narrow column (33%)
Column width is set to 4, giving this column one third of the page width. Use a narrow left column for a sidebar-style label or summary.
Example 2 — Wide column (67%)
The second column fills the remaining 8 units — two thirds of the page width. A 4/8 (33/67) split is a common layout for a label column paired with a content column, or an aside paired with a main article.
Example 3 — Left column with background
This two column block has Theme colours set to primary-light and Block padding set to lg. The background and padding are applied to the whole wrapper, not to individual columns.
Example 3 — Right column with background
Combining a background colour with generous padding makes the two column block suitable for highlighted feature sections. The columns themselves remain plain content blocks — the styling comes entirely from the wrapper fields.
